How to Optimize a website part 2

On page ranking factors are things ON your own web pages that you can change yourself in order to affect your Google rankings.
Various on page ranking factors include:
   Page title
Actual text on the web page
   Alt image tags
   Bold tags
   Italic tags
   Underline Tags
   Meta description tag
   Meta keyword tag
   h1 and h2 header tags
Internal linking between the web pages of your website
Wikipedia.org is a great example of good internal linking. Internal linking is one of the most important on page ranking factors of your website.
When linking to another web page on your website, you should use the keyword(s) you’re trying to rank that web page for, in the “anchor text”.
Note: Anchor Text: is the blue underlined text that when clicked, will take you to the specific web page.
NEVER use the anchor text “home” to link back to your home page from each page of your website. Use something like: keyword home
as the anchor text.
When linking back to your homepage. Don’t link back to index.htm or index.php etc. Link back to the FULL URL: http://www.WhateverYourSiteIs.com so that it will count as a link back to your homepage, increasing your Google rank.
Add a forum to your website. A good free forum is www.phpbb.com .
At the bottom of each page in your forum, link back to your homepage. Use your main keyword as the anchor text. This way, each time a forum post is made, you now have another link pointing back to your homepage, using your main anchor text.
Include your keyword inside each of the main on page ranking factors that I mentioned in #2 above. Don’t worry about keyword density. Just make sure you mention your keyword at the beginning, middle, and end of your web page and you’ll be good to go.
